Friday Fragments

Welcome to

My fake prelit Christmas tree is still laying on the floor in my living room. The ornaments are still on my counter.

Conversation in the car with the kids two days ago.

Gilligan: "A man had a baby and he's having another."

Me: "No. A man did NOT have a baby. A woman who had her boobs cut off and now takes hormones so she can grow facial hair had a baby and is having another."

Gilligan: "Oh...Okay."

White Boy: "That's gross."

**********************************************

The largest chemical plant in the world is located just 90 miles from my home (as the crow flies). All of the chemicals needed to make a nuclear bomb, nerve bomb and anthrax are produced at this one chemical plant.

Last year it was sold to Arabs.

**********************************************

My daughter sold 184 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. And we're going out again tomorrow. Over half of those cookies have been purchased for the soldiers over seas.

**********************************************

My son's girlfriend eats tofu with me.

**********************************************

My boobs are absolutely killing me. I love "The Change".

Peace Out,

Can you comment more on this? Where exactly, is this plant? Do you have any more info to share?

I can tell you that the man who told me about this use to work there as an independent contractor for repairs. When he went in last year to work during a six-week mandatory shutdown for repairs and upkeep, the daylong safety orientation was cut down to one hour and covered very little. There was also no safety gear provided even though inhalation or one drop of some of these chemicals on your skin means certain death.

When the union workers asked why not, they were informed that the company no longer provided safety gear. When questioned as to why, they were told the American Co had sold it to an Arab one. The Arab company felt that it was not their concern for workers to be provided safety gear. The workers are responsible for it themselves.

More than half of the workers walked out. The ones left were new and had no idea of what they were really dealing with.

Evidently, there has been a large drop in the safety regulations at the plant. If this place blows, it is a very real possibility that the death toll could be as wide as Southern Indiana, most of Kentucky, parts of Missouri, Illinois and Tennessee and if the wind is blowing down the river as it normally does, all the way down into Mississippi. There is a 25-mile no fly zone around the plant.

That is what this man told me. The man who told me is old enough to be my dad. I've known him for 2 1/2 years. He is a veteran and I trust him.

Dang.
Good / scary info on the plant. I hope someone informs the newbies asap.

The girlfriend sounds 'real'. I like that. I'm glad you're up in their bidness. ;-)

Yea! for Girl Scouts. hmmm. Gotta do that HI.

I didn't know that 'the change' made boobies sore. That sucks. I wish having pink hair would make 'em bigger. ;-)

We finally took our tree down last night. Threw it over the balcony to keep from dragging the dried, brittle, falling-off-everywhere-already needles through the house. If it wasn't an artificial, pre-lit, I would recommend you doing the same thing. It was wonderfully cathartic.

We normally have a live tree, but it was raining when Bear came so we had to go get a fake one.

We throw ours into one of the gullies on our property. And yes, it feels AMAZING to toss that thing out!
