Wesley Snipes MUST be a conservative!

Prison Bound: Wesley Snipes Will Serve Hard Time
You see, if he were a big liberal, Obama would probably give him an appointment...

Actor Wesley Snipes is set to serve three years in prison after a court rejected the actor's appeal of a conviction on tax evasion charges.

In 2008, the 47-year-old star of 'Blade' was found guilty of not filing tax returns from 1999 to 2001 and therefore failing to pay the government nearly $12,000,000 in taxes.

Snipes was sentenced to 36 months in prison but declared the sentence was "unreasonable" and filed the appeal.

On Friday, in a 35-page decision, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit affirmed the original ruling and dismissed Snipes' claims that his punishment was too severe.

It has not been determined when Snipes will turn himself in to begin his sentence.

Peace Out,

In the Freaking News ... Heaven Help Us ...

'JihadJane' Charged With Recruiting Terrorists Online

"PHILADELPHIA (March 10) -- The self-described "Jihad Jane" who thought her blond hair and blue eyes would let her blend in as she sought to kill an artist in Sweden is a rare case of an American woman aiding foreign terrorists and shows the evolution of the global threat, authorities say."

Oh heaven help me! Now they have an excuse to harrass me at the airport...

LaRose is a convert to Islam who actively recruited others, including at least one unidentified American, and her online messages expressed her willingness to become a martyr and her impatience to take action, according to the indictment and the U.S. official.

I've said it! She may be a blue eyed blond ... BUT SHE'S ANOTHER FREAKING MUSLIM!

And on to self-absorbed full of herself Hollywood, sometimes I'm gay, sometimes I'm NOT stone or drunk, washed up starlet Liiiiiiindsay Loooooooohan.

Lindsay Lohan Reportedly Suing E-Trade for Ad

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly suing the financial company E-Trade, insisting that the company's new commercial about a boyfriend-stealing, "milkaholic" baby -- who happens to be named Lindsay -- was modeled after her. Lohan reportedly wants $100 million, The NY Post reports. Lohan's lawyer, Stephanie Ovadia, told the newspaper that the actress has the same single-name recognition as Oprah or Madonna. "Many celebrities are known by one name only, and E-Trade is using that knowledge to profit," Ovadia said.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! SERIOUSLY?! She thinks she's up there with MADONNA and OPRAH?! This brat has so fried her brain. She's delusional!

In the ad, a baby boy apologizes to his girlfriend via video chat for not calling her the night before. The suspicious girlfriend asks, "And that milkaholic Lindsay wasn't over?""Lindsay?" the boy replies, just before a baby girl sticks her head into the frame and slurs, "Milk-a-what?"
"They used the name Lindsay," Ovadia said. "They're using her name as a parody of her life. Why didn't they use the name Susan? This is a subliminal message. Everybody's talking about it and saying it's Lindsay Lohan."

And who's fault is it, exactly, that her life COULD be used a parady to begin with?! Personally, I never thought of Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiindsy Loooooooooooohan, when *I* saw the commercial.

And why not use the name "Susan"? How about "Sarandon"? That came to me right away. I guess that ALL actors, actresses, and sniveling Hollywood types should get excluuuuuuuuusive right to their name ... kinda like how McDonald's thinks they own anything that starts with "Mc" ...

According to the NY Post, Ovadia said, "E-Trade has violated Lohan's rights under New York state civil-rights law and used her 'name and characterization' in business without paying her or getting her approval."

Aaaaah, I understand. Her self acclaimed "characterization" is that of a boyfriend stealing milk-a-holic ... Last I heard she was a muff diving, same sex oriented, sober, and clean young actress with her act together.

Guess not.

In the News - Part One

I've done my share of whining. Time to take a stab at the "news".

Brittney Spears in no longer a blond. That was an actual news headline two days ago. Personally, I'm amazed she has hair, but hey. Seriously though, when she was this ongoing train wreck I could understand the somewhat macabre fascination with the downward spiral which had become her life. It was like watching a soap opera. But when you get down to a headline declaring a change of hair color ... well, we have spiraled down to the pit WITH her.

That David Goldman returns to New Jersey with his son. For those of you unaware, we have a classic case of parent abducts child and takes child out of the country without consent of the other parent. Mr. Goldman had been in a court battle to get his child back when the mother died over a year ago. Well it's OBVIOUS now, if it wasn't before, that the boy should have been returned. Right?

Wrong.

it's taken over a year for the Brazil court to finally decided to allow the boy back with his father. For now. The case in on appeal. The boy's family in Brazil are fighting for custody.

U.S. senators are calling for stronger international laws to force countries to return children when they've been abducted by a parent. They want penalties for countries who don't immediately return said children. There's already a law in place, which the U.S. and Brazil have both signed. But with over 1,200 U.S. children still being held in other countries after being abducted, the U.S. says the laws need to be stronger and better enforced.

One name. Elian Gonzalez.

You remember him, don't you? Kidnapped by his mother. Brought to the U.S. in an unsafe boat and trip during which his mother and several others drowned. In fact, he was one of only three survivors. It took the U.S. seven months to decide to finally return this abducted child back to his father. So could someone please tell me how the U.S. government has any right to indignation and finger pointing. After all, aren't Brazil and the other countries just following our shining example?

Tiger Woods is loosing endorsement deals. I just don't get it. As POTUS you can screw a girl just a few years older than your own daughter. You can do her with a cigar while dignitaries from other countries are waiting. You can discuss issues on national security in front of young girl who is giving you a blow job. You can have several issues of sexual harassment. You can be known for your "philandering". And all this is okay.

But be a golf star and whore around on your wife and you're a dirt bag who deserves to loose everything.

Now I think they're both assholes, but in reality, Tiger hurt his wife and children. Clinton discussed top secret issues of national security with a slutty intern. Whose worse?

Peace Out,

L.A. Will Pay for Jackson Funeral

Who should pay $1.4 million tab for Jackson's funeral?

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is doing the right thing in trying to end the debate over who should pick up the bill for police, traffic control and other city services used at Michael Jackson's memorial service. He's proclaiming that the city will pay the bill and shutting down a city Web site set up to request donations to help pay the costs.

Villaraigosa said he won't ask the Jackson family or AEG Live, the owner of the Staples Center where the event was held, to help the city recoup its expenses, according to an Associated Press story.

"This is a world-class city, and we provide fire and police protection, period," the mayor told AP. "The idea that we would charge the family for a funeral is nonsensical."

***Except...this wasn't a standard funeral with fifty or hundred people. The Jackson family turned it into a blown out event with enough people to fill the Staples Center.***

I agree. While the Jackson family, or MJ's estate, may have the money for the extra police, a city the size of Los Angeles should have money in its budget for such events.

***EVENTS?! I thought this was a funeral...***

While a pop king's funeral isn't an annual occurrence and is more like a 100-year flood, as soon as memorial services were announced I wondered if Los Angeles had at least $1 million set aside in its budget for stars' funerals. After all, more stars must live in L.A. than in any other city, and crowd control would be needed at many big events. The L.A. Lakers recently won a few basketball games that required extra police, right?

***The L.A. Lakers represent the entire city of L.A. Michael Jackson didn't. In all my adult years, I've neither seen nor heard of any other star's funeral being turned into an "event" like this! We're talking an elephant parade, people!***

I've heard of cities billing residents for ambulance services they've used, but shouldn't a public memorial be part of a large city's responsibility? Extra police were needed to protect the public, with $1.1 million for police equipment and overtime costs, according to the Los Angeles Times. If a city can't pay to protect its residents, then it isn't doing its job.

***$1.1 million is a bit above and beyond the call of "civil duty"! The Jackson family made an absurd spectacle of the entire thing. They could have, and should have, had a normal funeral like any other family. There wouldn't have been the need for say, mounted police, and the cost wouldn't have been NEAR $1.1 million. They CHOSE to create a large problem which required police overtime and equipment. They should pay for it!***

Villaraigosa, who was out of town vacationing during the memorial, called the city's donation Web site "ridiculous," even though it raised $35,000. It's unclear if the money will be returned to donors.

Los Angeles is facing a $530 million budget shortfall and layoffs, so paying $1.4 million for its costs at a memorial service is bound to bring up some screaming at council meetings.

***I don't even live in CA and I'M screaming about it!!! L.A. can't pay for COMMON everyday protection as it is. WTH should they shell out $1.1 million for the Jackson Circus?!***

Let them scream. Jackson's family shouldn't have to pay for police services for their beloved son, brother and father.

***Puh-lease... Shall I vomit now...?***

Peace Out,

Is Ricky Martin Gay?

The reason I ask is that he just had twin boys via a surrogate mother. When it was announced that Caly Aiken did that it was "PROOF" he was gay. Okay, he and a female friend each wanted a baby so he donated his sperm and she donated the egg and temporary housing.

Either way, both singers became fathers without being sexually involved with the women giving birth. So I was wondering if Martin was gay or if two different standards were being applied.

Michael Jackson

I was watching my chickens when the song "PYT" started playing in my head. Then it hit me! The lyrics!

I Want To Love You (P.Y.T.)
Pretty Young Thing
You Need Some Lovin' (T.L.C.)
Tender Lovin' Care
And I'll Take You There

I Want To Love You (P.Y.T.)
Pretty Young Thing
You Need Some Lovin' (T.L.C.)
Tender Lovin' Care
I'll Shake You There

Now I've come to realize that he was sending us all a message. Need I spell it out for you?! After all, he said in a video interview that several young boys had slept in his bed with him and it was perfectly natural...

Think they were PYT's?

I Love Simon Cowell!!!

So many people blow this guy crap and say he's a horrible person. I, on the contrary, think he's wonderful! Why? Because he doesn't lie to people, he says it like it is, he's freaking HONEST. So today AOL has a montage of Simon Cowell quotes. These were my favorites.

"We will take her under our wing for six months and we will produce a new Britney Spears [We'll] keep her away from her stupid friends [and] buy her some underwear." -- explaining how 'American Idol' could have given Britney Spears an extreme makeover

"I was once offered money to judge somebody in bed, a couple. And I stupidly turned it down. It was about 100 grand, and I should have taken the money, because it would be a much more interesting story." -- admitting he missed a great opportunity

"It's rather like having a silly little dog who wants to jump up on your lap and you just swat the dog off. Occasionally in a very stern voice you have to say 'no.' And that's how I deal with Ryan." -- on coping with super-peppy co-worker Ryan Seacrest

Finally! Someone has a brain!

'tis true, 'tis true. I have proof that SOMEONE in the Spears' clan has a brain. It would be good ol' Grandpa Spears:

Also speaking plainly about all things Britney is her Louisiana-based grandpa, June Austin Spears, who uncorked his piehole to chat up the New York Daily News.

"I'm worried about her. She shouldn't go in the nut house," the 77-year-old coot patriarch posited to the paper. "Sometimes you come out worse than you come in."

Gramps also isn't shy about sharing his thoughts on Brit's 16-year-old sister, Jamie Lynn, whose pregnancy has been pushed from the headlines due to her sibling's very public meltdown.
"Lynne keeps Jamie Lynn hidden," he alleges. "[Lynne is] in denial about the pregnancy. She thinks it's just going to go away, but it's not."

He then astutely points out, "It's going to get bigger and bigger."

THIS JUST IN!!

Ashlee Simpson's boyfriend says he wish he were gay...and I don't mean happy.

Now, just what does that say about Ashlee Simpson...
Thought that Batman might like the first picture here. The second picture is seriously disturbing, but THIS ONE made me laugh out loud. Truly original. Gross, but original.

Happy News!!!

I found a new baby! I rescued him from the county shelter. He's half-starved, but just needs a bunch of love and good attention (and nuetering). He's so sweet!!

Thank-you all so much for your kind words after the deaths of our two dogs a few weeks back. It really helped.

Get Your Head Out of the Hole It's In

I like Sally Field. I always have. I grew up watching reruns of her as The Flying Nun. I've seen the movie Her portrayal as a schitzophrenic in Sybil is nothing less than amazing! Oh! and I've nearly worn out my VHS of Steel Magnolias. I like all of her work. I think she's a talented actress.

BUT...

this comment just really makes her look STUPID! "Ms. Field used an expletive in saying that if mothers ruled the world, there would be no wars." I'd like to remind her, and all of those who agree with her, that there are women in the Middle East who have handed their children over to be strapped with bombs. And don't try giving me that bleeding heart dumb assed bull that they have no choice in the matter. If you truly believe that all of them are coerced, and I must be blunt here, you're a dumb ass.

I'm sure that there are women who have their children stolen from them, but don't think for one holier than thou second that there aren't large numbes of women out there who believe as the men who flew airplanes into the twin towers. These women believe that they and their children will reap rewards from allah for turning their children into bombs. They teach them to hate. They teach them to kill infidels. HELLO?

And it isn't just women in the Middle East. There are women all over the world who teach their children to hate and kill for various reason. War will always happen, and mothers have just as much to do with it as fathers.

And when you come right down to it, even those of us who do not teach our children to "murder" teach them that it's okay to kill to defend your country or in self-defense.

It's called reality. Welcome to.

And Barry Manillow...you all know how I feel about Barry. I don't care if he is a queen. I like his music. But to refuse to be interviewed by someone because their politcal beliefs are different than your own??? There is only one reason for that, he can't hold his own when it comes to politics. What? He wants to be surrounded by yes men all the time? He can't handle someone disagreeing with his beliefs? Is he that insecure by his beliefs that he can't handle answering a few questions from someone?

Grow up and get your head out your arse. If you aren't capable of discussing your political ideas with other people, then you should keep your mouth shut about your political ideas in the first place.

Reader's Top 20 Worst Lyrics Ever...

"Have you ever been To Saint-Tropez
Or seen a brother Play a mandalay?"

--Diddy's 'I Need a Girl (Part Two)'

Nope, and neither has anyone else, Sean, because a "mandalay" isn't an instrument!!! You meant "mandolin." --Meghan, Orlando, Fla.

I couldn't stop laughing when I read it... I mean, doesn't his label employ an editor of some sort? Or did they just figure that as long as it rhymed it was okay because his "fans" are as illiterate and lacking in geographical skills as he is?

Seriously...

...what's the big hype over Sharon Stone? I just don't think she's that attractive. I realize that she's proven to the world that she's a big time whore. But I still don't think that makes her attractive.

WTG, Nicole! In a day and age when every starlett out there believes that she is above the law (Brittney, Paris, Lindsay), it's refreshing to hear Nicole take responsibility for her actions. Here's hoping that SHE will be the new trend setter.

In personal news...
One of my chicks died two days ago. They were the first farm animals here. I realize they hatched out of eggs, but I only had two of them. I had fed them due to dehydration. The mother escaped. So of the two, I've only one left. I hope she fares well.

My niece will be getting married next month. The kids and I are so excited. The Unstable One tried to guilt me out of going to the wedding because she isn't invited. I'm not Einstein, but it MIGHT have something to do with her having called my niece a whore and her parents unfit, irresponsible for letting their 20-year-old daughter move in with her boyfriend (whom she's been with since she was 15). Did I mention she did this at my father's death bed? Very loving, Grandma...

Anyway, I'm being "unloyal" to her because we are going. I got up and walked away from her saying that I didn't owe her explanation and I wasn't about to defend myself. She quit the water works REAL fast.

Oh, and while she was here, she told my 6, 7, and 10-year-old children all about the lawsuit she is in with Evil Sister. Yes, Evil Sister did borrow a six digit figure from my parents (all they had) and was suppose to pay it back. Yes, Evil Sister has decided, since our father died, that he gave it to her as a gift (despite conversations where Evil Sister discussed with the Good Sister and I how she KNEW it was a loan and how she was going to pay it back). Yes, these things are true about Evil Sister
...BUT...
these are not things you tell small children. Even my 14-year-old doesn't know what's going on. Now my very sensitive 7-year-old is very worried that that his Evil Aunt has stolen all of the Unstable One's money and now Unstable Grandma can't pay her bills.

While watching the children earlier this week, the Unstable One was very naughty and did her best to make me unhappy by trying to pick fights with me. I am unhappy. Therefore Bear is unhappy. He is going to have a discussion with the Unstable One for me. Thank-you, my Bear. Very clear lines in the sand are going to be drawn. You see, I've walked away from her once and nine months later gave her another chance.

She has no more chances.

First Post, New Address

Well, as you all can see, I've a new address. I've also chosen a new blog title: "Just Krystal". Why did I choose it? Because that's all I have to be, just me, just Krystal. I don't need to try to be someone I'm not. I don't need to try to impress other people. All I need to be is Krystal...Just Krystal.

I do, however, reserve the right to change the title from time to time to fit my mood. For example, when the kids are getting under my skin you may come here to see the title "Pissed-Off Krystal". When Bear is here, it may be "Ecstatic Krystal". You get the idea.

And one of the good things about this change is that Batman will now be able to leave the astrict out of my blog name...

I did 5.1 miles today. It took me an hour and twenty minutes. I'm pretty darned impressed with myself. I've also done two thirty minute yoga sessions. I LOVE the Namaste Yoga on FitTV. I'm addicted!

Bear will be here in three days!!! Then we will be able to spend an entire four weeks together as a family...YIPPIE!!!

Paris Hilton is back in jail. She says that she realizes that she is too old to be playing the dumb-blond-party-girl. She says that God is giving her a second chance and that He is using jail to make her see some things about herself. I hope that what she says it true. Only time will tell.
