Contractions are getting really close together and stronger.  If you don't hear from me for a few days, you'll know why.

Been having mild contractions off and on since Thursday (went swimming at the public pool, dove off the diving board 4 times and jumped in feet first once). Woke up about a dozen times last night with contractions. I'm so tired!

38 Handmade Thank-you Notes FINISHED!

It took quite several days, but I have finally completed making all of my thank-you notes, filling them all in with personal notes, and am mailing a few off today and passing the rest out at church tonight and Sunday.

I'm exhausted!

Doctor says baby looks good. I'm measuring 36 weeks even though I'm 35. I am loosing my plug. Baby is in position. If I go into labor, he's not stopping it.

I'm going to have a baby pretty soon. QUICK! Someone pinch me!

Time is drawing near...

Some of my Braxton-Hicks over the weekend were more than Braxton-Hicks. I think my plug is beginning to break up a bit. I am very tired. My hormones have changed. I keep feeling pressure like I have to pee, but nothing happens. I've just about lost my appetite. I ind myself snacking here and there, but haven't actually eaten a meal in a little over 24 hours. Dinner was my only "meal" of the day Saturday.

I will be 35 weeks on Thursday.

Tomorrow is the first day of May...

and even though I'm due in June, given my history of early deliveries, I'll be able to say, "I'm probably going to have a baby this month..."

Gestational Diabetes

A few random thoughts as my mind spins...

* They say I have gestational diabetes. I've been checking my blood sugar for 24 hours now and haven't had a high reading once. And I'm still sneaking M&M's here and there.

* I have run out of places to put all of the gifts I received at my shower Sunday. I took over an hour to open them all. It's making my crazy.

* My son doesn't have a crib.

* I need to make some soap. I've been using store bought for too long PLUS I promised Jen some nearly a year ago. Sorry, Jen, I suck. I've not forgotten, I just suck.

* We have a 7 passenger vehicle and a 7 member family. In about 5-6 weeks, we will be an 8 member family with a 7 passenger vehicle. Anyone have a fourth row seat for a 2003 Ford Econoline van complete with bolts and seat belts just laying around somewhere collecting dust? I could really use it!

Quick Update

Everything went great at the peri last week. We really like him!!! I will have to deliver in Louisville because I'm old (HA!), have a blood clotting disorder, and there MAY be a possibility that I have Lupus, but they haven't mad it an actually diagnosis yet. Hey, I've had symptoms for seven years, to me it changes nothing, it's just a name for the nameless illness that occassionally rears its ugly head from time to time.

I get to pick the due date. I'm going for the end of May. I've always wanted a May baby!

The sonogram was amazing!!! Heard the heartbeat and watched the baby kicking and moving around. I no longer carry a blob with a heartbeart. There's a head and arms and legs and little itty bit feet!!!!!

Now that the morning sickness is getting better ...

I'm actually feeling a bit maternal. Yes, it took a while. But it's difficult to feel maternal and all when your stankin' head is constantly hanging over the garbage disposal while you vomit (yeah ... I hate vomiting in the toilet ... ick). So I'm starting to get the warm fuzzies again like I felt BEFORE I began hacking.

AND I think I may have felt the baby this morning ... I'm not sure ... it's been a while ... It felt like a ping pong ball hitting me from the inside. Heaven help me! I have a bouncy one!!

A Little Explaining...

I realize that my blog hasn't been too exciting recently. In all honesty, there's only so much I can say about vomiting and morning sickness and too much politics just makes the agita worse. I don't want to become whiny because it's annoying ... (but I inherited a bad economy) ... and it generally isn't me. So please bare with me for the next several weeks. I'm hoping to soon be back to the sharp tongued snarky Krystal that you all know.

Until then, I'll continue spinning with YouTube the songs of yesteryear and my youth ...
