Barred ... for Opposing Global Warming

The article is really about this picture which is used by global warming "experts" to "prove" the plight of the polar bear and decry global warming.
I read the entire article, which was pretty boring in truth, but found the following pretty interesting:

A meeting of polar bear experts in Copenhagen this week put renewed focus on the message of the photo.

Canadian biologist Mitchell Taylor reportedly was barred from the conference because he doesn't subscribe to the conventional view of global warming. He contends that Arctic warming is caused by nature, not humans, and polar bears aren't at risk.

I decided to do a little research on Polar Bears and Mitchell Taylor...

* I found that 70% of the polar bear population is in North America (that would be mainly Alaska and Canada)

* It is normal for them to be found swimming hundreds of miles from land (they've always floated on ice caps)

* DR. Mitchell Taylor has been "researching the status and management of polar bears in Canada and around the Arctic Circle for 30 years..." And he says that of the 19 populations "almost all are increasing or at optimum levels, only two have for local reasons modestly declined." (UK Telegraph)

* Dr. Taylor also states that yes, there has been Arctic warming, but it's because of warm water currents from the Pacific and winds blowing in from the Bering Sea. (UK Telegraph)

* Dr. Taylor is one of OVER 31,000 SCIENTISTS, including OVER 9,000 PhD's, that say global warming is a farce. Petition and list names.

So, what say you?
Peace Out,

The article in the Telegraph was completely one-sided... even borderline libel, since the information from Taylor and printed by the journalist is not accurate. The long and short is that Taylor was not 'barred' and there was never any email sent to Taylor telling him his views weren't welcome at the conference. Taylor didn't even qualify to be there, as space is limited to those researchers who are currently working in the field. Taylor is retired. The person who is now working in his old position for the Nunavut govt did attend the conference, so the views of that govt were aptly represented.
Derocher was never even asked by the Telegraph if the information was correct (he was never even 'Taylor's student' as the Telegraph reports)

Not sure if you've heard of him, but there's an afternoon talk show host named Todd Schnitt out of Tampa whose website has an adjunct with hundreds and hundreds of references as to how global warming is a scam.

I've railed against the Global Warming/Climate Change scam several times, most recently on Earth Day, and plan on doing so again soon!

I've always said that if scientist who are proclaiming global warming, which is a THEORY, can explain the ice ages and warm ups after each ice age (pre-man), which are facts, then I MIGHT considering their arguements.

Global warming is not science... It is a medieval religion!

Brooke, it's akin to the Earth being flat...

I say I agree! And I think I should be doing something about this propaganda, but I'm not sure what.

We just need to educate people and call our representatives and urge them to vote against any measures based upon the global warming religion.
