I will not be watching the news today. But not for the reason some of you may think. I didn't watch Bush's inauguration either. I saw a clip of him being sworn in and that was enough for me. I'm just not one of those people who turn on the television and watch things like that. I might could feel the moment in person, but over the tv, not so much.
But today's inauguration really concerns me for several reasons, none of which are his politics. To start off with, this man has yet to prove he is an American and even eligible for this post. Now liberals will say I'm beating a dead horse. Yeah, I don't think so. His Grandma Sarah said that she was there when he was born, in Kenya and a Kenyan ambassador is on the record saying that Obama's birth place IN KENYA is a popular attraction (start playing at 12:15). Then the birth certificate he provided was proven to be a forgery by more than one forensic specialist. I will give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he didn't know before, but he knows now. His bio dad and mom separated when he was two. He's made trips to Hawaii to block the release of his "Certificate of Birth" which is different from an actual birth certificate. There is no way this man doesn't know something is awry with his citizenship status. The honorable thing to do would be to say, "Hey, I didn't know. Apparently there are some things that need to be cleared up and addressed. I'm working to find the truth." I would have had the utmost respect for the man.
Then we have the entire Muslim issue. He said that yes, his biological father was muslim. Yes, his step-father was muslim. Yet he wasn't trained a Muslim. First off, yeah, right. Secondly, there are witnesses in Jakarta that state that he did have Muslim religious training. That doesn't bother me. That fact that he denied it and then said he'd been to "all 57 states" (there are 57 states of Islam) is what bothers me. Hey, it wasn't his choice to receive this training. I understand that, but people who lie have something to hide.
Of course we do have his ADULT choice in church and parental choice in the religious training of his children. He attended the same church for 20 years and said he was personal friend with the minister for 17. Yet he didn't know the man hated white people?! He's either incredible obtuse or again, he's being deceptive. Racism is racism. I don't care if it's black to white, white to black, Haitian to Cuban, or whatever. It's wrong. And Obama attended a church where racism was taught, where the racist minister repeatedly said, "God damn America!" THAT bothers me. And he was having it taught to his children. That bothers me too.
Then there's all the voting fraud that happened in key swing states, that all swung his way I might add despite multiple polling data showing that he didn't have leads in all of them...
He has a long list of associates that are dirty or questionable at best: Raila Odinga , Rod Blagojevich, Tony Rezko, Bill Richardson, Tim Gaithner, Bill Ayers. ALL of us have had a person or two in lives that has shocked us with something really bad. You can have people "fly under your radar". But with the list Obama has already accumulated, I worry he has no radar at all. That should concern every one. "A man is known by the company he keeps." Take a good long look at his company, people.
Seriously, I disagree with his politics, but I can deal. I don't go after or dis a person because of their differing political views. That's childish and immature. I don't even concern myself with some of their "personal issues" because we all have them. Hell, I didn't care less who Clinton chose to boink. But when his "personal issues" caused him to be ten minutes late to a meeting with foreign dignitaries waiting in the Rose Garden because he was getting a blow job in the Oval Office?! THAT was grounds for dismissal. He wasn't doing his job. Then to find out that he had top secret conversations of state on the phone with a girl about the same age as his daughter attached at his "little Billie" in the Oval Office, again, grounds for dismissal. And you'll never convince me that all those women lied about him forcing himself on them. Or that the people who were willing to testify ... wound up dead. It wasn't his stance on abortion that made him unfit. It was his behavior and the people he kept around him.
He lied under oath!
Likewise, it isn't politics or pouting over McCain not winning that has me in this state. It's Obama's own mendaciousness, lack of good judgement and poor choices of personal relationships.
I don't believe I'll even watch a clip.

It's his ideology that concerns me. I don't care what color he is. It's funny that the people who protest the loudest about racial equality are the same ones who consider race to be Obama's only qualification to be President. That smacks of racism to me.
I don't care about his race. There are black people who aren't Marxist. I could have easily voted for any of them.
Obama is a Marxist, and I believe he intends to change America alright. He intends to change America into a Communist state.
Mark, I'm with you. I didn't vote for Bush in the primaries. I voted for Alan Keyes. So you see, all those people who thought I agreed with Bush on the war because he was "my guy" is just soooo wrong!
Here, here.
This is going to be a bumpy ride, to say the least.
I voted for Duncan Hunter in the primaries. I agree 100% with his ideology. I would have written him in in the election, too, but McCain got my vote by virtue of picking an excellent running mate.
If McCain had picked a running mater as Liberal as he is I wouldn't have voted for him.
"But when his "personal issues" caused him to be ten minutes late to a meeting with foreign dignitaries waiting in the Rose Garden because he was getting a blow job in the Oval Office?! THAT was grounds for dismissal. He wasn't doing his job."
But the economy was soooo good. Had it been like it is now...he would have been ran out of office.
Ah yes, I remember it well..
You know, I've never seen any politician with more class than George W. Bush. He had to walk down the steps at the Capitol to hear "boo's" and "good riddance, then listen to Obama trash his administration. But he never showed a hint of anger or bitterness
Brooke, the VERY least!
Mark, a great number of people were voting for Palin and not McCain. Unfortunately, I don't think McCain realizes it.
Batman, ain't that the truth! People vote their pocket books, not their conscience.
DD2, Bush does have class. It's the sign of a not a man, but a gentleman.
Exactly, Krystal!
Not only does he associate with shady characters and lie about his past, but he's confident in his role as leader...that nobody will detract him from his chosen path. His ego preceeds him. He believes that he is bigger than the office, the press, and the people.
Yeah, we're in for a wild ride!
