"...by the way, they committed felonies..."

There's a group of people protesting in Iowa over a raid done in May. It was the largest raid of illegal immigrants ever in the history of the U.S. So all these people are protesting about how the prosecuting and/or deportation of these ILLEGAL immigrants is outrageous because families are being broken up. Now you all know how I feel about this already, but I loved this bit of the article and the quote by Susan Tully:

She points out that the illegal aliens were charged with aggravated identity theft, the unlawful use of a Social Security number, and other crimes. "They're being prosecuted for the felony they committed," Tully contends. "But not one of these members of Congress and not one of these churches is coming out and speaking about this correctly, by pointing out to the people, 'Oh yeah, by the way, they committed felonies' -- and people who commit felonies...break up their families every day of the week when they get prosecuted and sent to jail."

Now, I'm not trying to be cold-hearted, but these people committed identity theft. THEY STOLE OTHER PEOPLE'S SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS! I know people who have had this happen to them. It takes people YEARS to fix their credit reports and straighten things up with the U.S. government. Anyone give a rat's rear about these people whose lives are being stolen from them by ILLEGAL immigrants?

A lot of uneducated people out there claim that illegals coming into this isn't that big of a deal. Well, if you think that, how about writing your name and social security number on a random piece of paper and dropping it off at the border. When you get denied a home loan for your family, or you get denied a loan for school, or you spend your evenings getting collection calls regarding credit cards in YOUR name with YOUR SS# that you never opened, when another person collects unemployment off of you and you've spents over a year trying to fix things and STILL you're screwed, you let me know how illegals coming into this country isn't a problem.

Mkay? This is NOT isolated. It happens all the freaking time, people. Wake up. Get your head out of the hole it's in. Remove your blinders. You know, it's all about pity for the illegals, until your life gets screwed over by them.
