Whatever happened to "Seperation of Church and State"?!?

Principal Resigns Over 'Intifada' T-Shirts

NEW YORK (Aug. 11) - An Arabic-themed public school will still open in September, despite the abrupt departure of its embattled principal, the city Department of Education said.

Y'all are more than welcome to read the rest of article. The imfamous "they" claim that the school was to teach "culture, not religion". The problem is that their culture revolves around their religion.

Now before anyone jumps me for the above statement, I know quite a few Arabs, and no matter how you slice it, dice it, their culture is based upon their religion. I'm just curious how they plan to explain traditional Arab dress, the head coverings, their opposition to eating pork, all the while leaving out their religious beliefs? I realize that there are Arabs who are not religious, however, I've known several non-religious Arabs who still have issues over eating pork because it is unclean.

Their culture is completely based upon the prevailing religion and that is obvious. If you visit the article you'll notice that the would be principal covers her hair. I'd like to see the ruckus the Arab community would make if a Jewish woman who didn't cover her hair were apointed principal. There is no way to seperate it. And let's be honest here, I live in the Bible belt. We pray before commencement and have a Protestant minister address the graduates in middle and high school. Why? Because that is the prevailing culture. It is what at LEAST 95% of the students are.

Now it is an ongoing struggle to continue to do WHAT THE STUDENTS WANT because of the never mentioned by the founding fathers "seperation of church and state". So why the hey should the Arabs get away with it? I mean, this is a school that is specifically being opened just for the Arab community. Anyone who thinks religion will not be taught some how, some way, is either a liar, stupid, or both.
