did I ever think I'd be giving kudos to Al Sharpton. The man just always seemed to be so full of shit.
But, he has finally done what I've been saying needed to be done for quite some time. He took to task the rappers for their use of fowl language and, I'm assuming, the messages they convey. Maybe he realized that going after a white ass for using the term "nappy headed hoes" didn't make any friggin' sense when the rap comunity does much worse itself. (Hey...did anyone ever read how much he complimented a DIFFERENT mostly black b-ball team for looking so good? I didn't think so...).
So while it feels completely and totally un-natural in any way, shape or form, I must give Al Sharpton two thumbs up. WTG, AL!!! (Hey, I even avoided the urge to refer to him as Al Shithead...that, in and of itself, took a lot out of me.)
My eldest started high school today. I can't believe my baby is in high school. It's seems like just yesterday that the test came back that I was, indeed, knocked up. Bear's face was stunned and he couldn't say a thing. I stood at the door to the waiting foom in front of everyone and said, "Honey, aren't you happy?" He recovered from the shock and said that of course he was. We had our first child just days after our first wedding anniversary.
And now that baby is in high school.
Wow.
I'd like to point out that Gerbilman Rant no longer exists. My heart was heavy and saddened to know that it is now obsolete. While I understand why, my life will never be complete again. I will leave the link up as a momento and reminder of days gone day. So I now request a moment of silence while we mourn the loss of such an entertaining blog.
R.I.P. dear Gerbilman, R.I.P.
